Serve as a Supervisor

Soil and Water Conservation District supervisors are the backbone of local conservation governance. Three of the District's five supervisors are elected by registered voters in Duval County during general elections. Two are appointed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Supervisors serve four-year terms and receive no compensation for their service. They are responsible for setting District policy, approving programs and budgets, and ensuring the District fulfills its conservation mission. Supervisors must be residents of Duval County.

If you are interested in serving as an elected supervisor, you can qualify as a candidate during the qualifying period for general elections. Contact the Duval County Supervisor of Elections for information on qualifying requirements and deadlines.
